Our story
A small hotel, looked after by the people who own it
Monroe Street Suites is run by David and Ashli, who live here. Six rooms is small enough that we notice when something needs fixing — and small enough that we can keep making it better a room at a time.
Why we did it
We wanted somewhere we'd be glad to send a friend
Pittsfield gets visitors all year — family coming home, crews working through the week, hunters in season, people passing through on a long drive. We thought they deserved better than whatever room was left over.
So we took the building room by room: new mattresses, 500-thread-count white sheets, fresh towels, private en-suite bathrooms, Roku TVs, mini fridges and Wi-Fi that actually works. Out front, a timber pergola now covers a new deck and the landscaping is in. White and black outside, warm natural timber where you touch it.
What it means for you
The point was never to look like a chain
Every room is styled individually, so you're not choosing between six copies of the same room. What stays the same is the standard: clean, quiet, private, and reset properly between guests.
There's no resort fee, no parking charge and no upsell on the Wi-Fi. Coffee, snacks, soft drinks and filtered water are complimentary, and there's Level 2 EV charging on site. We'd rather you spend the evening in town than reading a list of extras.
